One is Gone

My masters, all six of them, told me not to talk to the deads.
The deads never come back to life. That's undeniable truth. The truth that people left behind want to deny so much.
The soul of the dead leaves this world over the curtain of our realm forever.
What we call ghost is just an embodiment of remaining thought, emotion, or memory of the deads.
That's why they cannot talk normally, always want though need nothing, and stick to something obstinately.
It is difficult to remove them peacefully unless you follow certain rules and process originated from the deceased.
The deads are not the ones you knew.
Now I can understand why they taught me that over and over again.
It is obvious how I'll react to the false hallucination of my masters when they pass away.

Леди Шалотт - персонаж легенд о короле Артуре, баллады Альфреда Теннисона «The Lady of Shalott» (1842) и игры «Crusader Kings III » - «Legends of the Dead» и т.д. и т.п.

Жила она обособленно в замке на острове реки, что течёт к рыцарскому замку Камелот короля Артура. И довлело над нею странное проклятие: обязательная и постоянная повинность ткать; посматривать на окружающий мир дозволялось только через спец.волшебное зеркало,- в нём она видела только «shadows of the world» / «тени мира» :(

Проклятье ждёт её тогда,Грозит безвестная беда,И вот она прядёт всегда...

И увидела однажды в етом спец.зеркале: бесстрашного рыцаря Ланселота,- он ехал по дороге к Камелоту. Очаровалась сильно, может, слегка влюбилась, и от избытка чувств стала смотреть мимо зеркала (которое вообще разбилось к чертям собачьим) напрямую в окно, и ткать при этом перестала!- всё, тушите свечи, проклятье начало свой финальный отсчёт :|

Нашла леди лодку, написала на её борту «The Lady of Shalott», и поплыла. Вдогонку за рыцарем.
