Милонов предложил Мутко провести в России альтернативную Олимпиаду

Депутат законодательного собрания Санкт-Петербурга Виталий Милонов предложил министру спорта Виталию Мутко провести альтернативную Олимпиаду в России. Об этом сообщает газета «Известия».

По его мнению, необходимо вернуться к идее проведения Игр доброй воли. Впервые они состоялись в 1986 году в Москве по инициативе основателя канала CNN Теда Тёрнера. Этому предшествовали два случая, когда национальные сборные бойкотировали Олимпиады. В 1980 году американские спортсмены не поехали на соревнования в Москве, а в 1984-м также поступила команда СССР, проигнорировав Игры в Лос-Анджелесе.

Игры доброй воли же проходили под девизом «От дружбы в спорте — к миру на Земле!» и смогли вновь разделить спорт и политику. В них приняли участие 3 тысячи спортсменов из 79 стран мира. Они соревновались за 182 золотые медали в 18 видах спорта и сумели побить шесть мировых, а также континентальных и национальных рекордов.

Милонов считает, что сейчас международные спортивные организации,собирающиеся отстранить Россию от Олимпийских игр в Рио-де-Жанейро в полном составе из-за допингового скандала, используются западными державами, чтобы «подорвать национальный дух» России. «В спорте нет места международному политическому соперничеству любой ценой. То, что мы видим сегодня, — это попытка определить победителя Олимпиады задолго до её открытия и устранить нашу страну как опасного конкурента», — поясняет он.
