Terrorist attack in Paris,News,,Twelve people have died and three others were critically injured in a shooting at the office of a Paris-based satirical magazine Wednesday, France's president said, calling the attack a "terrorist operation."

Two of those killed are police officers. Witnesses told the French television network iTele that multiple masked men with automatic weapons were at the newspaper’s office. The attackers shouted, “We have avenged the prophet,” police said, according to AFP. President François Hollande said this was undoubtedly a terrorist attack “of exceptional barbarity.” The president also said a number of terror attacks have been prevented “in recent weeks.” People have been “murdered in a cowardly manner,” Hollande told reporters at the scene. “We are threatened because we are a country of liberty.”
