Ученые добились рекордной продолжительности жизни у крысы

Это Сима, 47-месячная и самая старая из когда-либо живших крыс линии Спрега-Доули, на которых часто ставят опыты. Прошлый рекорд - 45,5 месяцев (для серых крыс вообще рекорд составляет 4,5 года). Она - последний живой участник эксперимента, проводимого Гарольдом Кэтчером, директором по науке в стартапе Yuvan.

Изначально крыс было 16, по 8 в контрольной и опытной группе. Эксперимент начали, когда крысам было 24 месяца. Каждые 90 дней опытная группа получала некий концентрат плазмы крови молодых особей под названием Е5. Животные в опытной группе прожили от 38 до 41 месяцев, плюс Сима 47. Крысы из контрольной группы, получавшие плацебо, прожили от 34 до 38 месяцев. Кроме того, у животных из опытной группы сила хвата была в 2,8 раза выше, чем у контрольной. Эксперимент будет продолжаться, пока жива Сима.

Кэтчер подчеркивает (как и все они постоянно), что целью является не продление жизни, а продление здоровья и молодости, уменьшение страданий и болезней в позднем возрасте. Но все же добавляет, что если получится это, то получится и продлить жизнь.

После завершения этого эксперимента, вероятно, последует следующий, на большей выборке, а потом и до людей доберутся. Кэтчер считает, что если с людьми все получится, то плазму для получения Е5 можно будет брать у свиней со скотобоен.

Forever Winter (gameplay trailer)

Тут новый ,на этот раз геймплейный трейлер с объяснением некоторых механик и оиобенностей мира выкатили . Игра стилистически мне напоминает смесь артов Майка Франчины с его "Окопным Крестовым походом" (но с упором в более высокотехнологичные времена и с меньшей фэнтэзевостью) + работы Здислава Бексинского с этими мегаструктурами ,цветовой гаммой ,безнадежностью и смертью, пустынными пейзажами и надгробиями. Выглядит все максимально мрачно ,гротескно и фантастично. Поправили бы анимацию передвижения персонажей( несколько кривоватая ,то ли вот этого наступания и тяжести нет ). А так уже хочется поиграть, хотя еще не понятно ,сколько оно будет в плане системных требований.

One is Gone

My masters, all six of them, told me not to talk to the deads.
The deads never come back to life. That's undeniable truth. The truth that people left behind want to deny so much.
The soul of the dead leaves this world over the curtain of our realm forever.
What we call ghost is just an embodiment of remaining thought, emotion, or memory of the deads.
That's why they cannot talk normally, always want though need nothing, and stick to something obstinately.
It is difficult to remove them peacefully unless you follow certain rules and process originated from the deceased.
The deads are not the ones you knew.
Now I can understand why they taught me that over and over again.
It is obvious how I'll react to the false hallucination of my masters when they pass away.
