Distant descendants of Keris' original earthen golems still wander in the wild places of Equestria. Though their maker has been distant for thousands of years, they continue to follow her last directive. Wherever they roam, they are harbingers of change. In their wake, entire ecosystems are altered, but never destroyed. A riverbed today may be a stark mountainside tomorrow, and a verdant forest the day after. Never has one been slain at the hoof of any pony, alone or in force. They are the place where "unstoppable force" and "immovable object" meet -- the most perfectly designed sentinels ever created. The existence of these mammoth constructs is what has prevented the trappings of "civilized" life from invading the secret places of the world.
