Sina. - Remembrance,Music,,Artist/Band: Sina. Album: "From Love To Dust" EP Released: 05 November 2011 Sina. aka Barry Gordon is a musician and producer from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Fascinated by music from an early age, he was intrigued and inspired by his fathers extensive and eclectic vinyl collection which contained many diverse genres of music, from Latin and African rhythmic music to folk, gospel and jazz. "There was always a lot of music about the house, as my dad is a bit of a music freak with very eclectic tastes, and though I didn't take much notice until my mid teens, I'm sure it has affected me in some subliminal way—gave me an open-minded attitude to hearing strange new sounds." As a teenager he taught himself to play several instruments, learned musical theory and played in various local bands before being introduced to sampling techniques and computer sequenced music. He debuted his first original compositions under the name Sina. in 2009, and after releasing several well received netlabel EPs, he released his first proper EP through "Project: Mooncircle" on November 5th 2011. His work is detailed, densely textured, melodic and most importantly emotive. His nuanced textures transcend the capabilities of many seasoned veterans in the scene, his attention to sonic detail is as exacting as a calibrator at a jet propulsion laboratory, and the sample techniques are pristine. Sina. with his dinstinctive musical approach, lets you submerge, full body, into impeccably produced, brittle clean sound with amazing groove control, touching and emotional. He describes his sound as being "...an amalgamation of every style of music that I've been drawn to over the years, anything from jazz and blues from the '20s and '30s to today's beat producers and pretty much everything in-between; it all gets mixed up and comes out how it does!" "Remembrance" is a wistful song about the rare personal moments when we realise the beauty of the world and our life in it, and of the importance of remembering those moments when things seem darkest."
