Burj Mubarak Al-Kabir, Сулайбия, Кувейт. Высота 1001 метр - в честь сказок Тысяча и одной ночи, 234 этажа.
Является частью грандиозного проекта Шелковый город общей стоимостью около 100 млрд. долл. и общим сроком осуществления в 25 лет. Включает в себя бизнес-, спорт- и торговые центры, а так же жилые здания и прочую инфраструктуру, аэропорт, парки, развлечения и бла-бла-бла.... С 2006 года находится в стадии рассмотрения, но официально пока не отменен.
Фантазии Кувейта о собственном великом будущем:
Башня Азербайджан, Баку, Азербайджан. Высота 1050 метров, 189 этажей.
Как и предыдущая, является вишенкой на торте большого проекта. Амбициозные азербайджанцы захотели превратить Баку во второй Дубай, нафигачить искусственные острова и на них настроить самых современных зданий, привлекли инвестиций и начали стройку. Только вот че-то сдулись в начале пути. Как это часто бывает в постсоветских республиках, денежки, видимо, тю-тю. Гаджи Ибрагимов, заваривший всю эту кашу, говорит, что первоначально полученных полутора миллиардов не хватает и надо бы дать еще два - тогда бы он смог закончить первую часть и начать продавать построенные квартиры и таким способом заработать на дальнейшую стройку. Был задержан правоохранительными органами по какому-то поводу. Фиг поймешь, короче. Но проект красивый. Вроде, пока не отменен.
В сравнении с Халифой. Как и предыдущий, выглядит гораздо массивнее.

Комплекс из четырех башен разной высоты. Назван Невестой за "фату" из солнечных панелей, опускающуюся с самого верха на город. Вот это уже настоящий вертикальный город с воздушными парками, авеню и площадями. Все, что нужно, чтобы из него не вылезать вообще. Общая площадь помещений в четырех башнях превышает полтора миллиона квадратных метров. Проект возник в прошлом году и пока его судьба неясна. Все картинки в разрешении 2000

Sky Mile Tower, Токио, Япония. 1700 метров, количество этажей неизвестно.
Проект появился в этом году и японцы, кажется, полны решимости его осуществить. Ну или делают вид.
Ну и мой любимый проект - Dubai City Tower, Дубай, ОАЭ. 2400 метров, 400 этажей.
Комплекс из шести зданий, по три во внутренней и во внешней спиралях. Разделен на четыре стоэтажных района. Между районами курсируют даже не лифты, а вертикальные поезда со скоростью 200 км/ч. Собственные солнечные и ветровые электростанции и системы поддержания нормального давления на верхних этажах. Выглядит полнейшей фантастикой и, вероятно, никогда не будет построен. Но как ни странно, все еще не отвергнут. Видимо, кому-то очень нравится.

Kuwait details US$77 billion ‘City of Silk’ Major new city planned to mimic historical trade route KUWAIT CITY - Kuwait plans to build a major new city, inspired by the Silk Road, the traditional trade route known as Madinat Al Hareer, which it hopes will become a global trade and tourist attraction. The US$77 billion ‘City of Silk’ aims to revive the ancient trade route by becoming a major free trade zone linking central Asia with Europe. Eric Kuhne. managing director of Eric R. Kuhne and Associates, which provided designs for the seaside city, said the project would be the largest single real estate development in the Middle East. The project in Subbiya, on the northernmost tip of Kuwait Bay near the Iraqi border, will be home to 750,000 people when completed in 2030. The Jabir Al Kabir Bridge will be a new crossing, linking the City of Silk with the capital Kuwait City with a 26-kilometre motorway. Two artificial islands will be built alongside the causeway. The project includes a new Sea Port on Bubiyan Island that will serve Kuwait. Iraq, and Iran as well as providing the closest saltwater port to Central Asia. There are also plans for a new Airport that will become part of the global network of international cargo and passenger services. The 200-square kilometre complex will consist of four major zones-. Finance City. Leisure City. Culture City and Ecology City. Leisure City will house an international-standard Olympic village while Finance City will sit in the middle of a canal system and aims to boost Kuwait’s efforts to become a regional trade and financial centre. In the centre of Finance City will be a 1.001 metre tower called Burj Mubarak Al Kabir, inspired by the classic work of Arabic literature. One Thousand and One Nights. The 234 stories in this book equate to the number of floors in the tower. The name of the ‘starcatcher’ - trendy terminology for skyscrapers - translates as the ‘Tower of Mubarak the Great’, and honours a former ruler of Kuwait (1896-1915). The 50 square kilometres of land over which the tower will preside includes ancient archaeological ruins and an escarpment that will be protected as a wildlife sanctuary. The tower will be built around a three-blade floor plan, and houses of worship for the three Monotheistic faiths will sit atop each blade rising up towards an iconic centrepiece. Above that the central core tower will have an interdenominational hall that will celebrate world faiths. The estimated year of completion for the tower is 2011. but the entire development will take approximately 25 years to complete. As the largest real estate project in the Middle East this will not only transform Kuwait but the region as a whole.

Design Program Our design for the Dubai City Tower is 400 habitable stories high topped by a 400m tall energy producing spire. Each floor to floor height is 5m making the overall height of the building 2400m (1.5 miles). We are proposing that the Tower be sited along the Gulf Sea where part of the building could push Into the ocean creating a marina and a destination for cruise ships and tourism. The overall mass of the tower is broken down Into six independent buildings, three rotating clockwise and three counter-clockwise about a central core. Sixty-five percent of the total building floor area Is located In the first 100 stories maximizing leasing potential while easing the strain of servicing a 400 story tower. A six story base sits at the foot of the tower housing a convention center, retail, event spacos and parking. Two stories of VIP self Parking exists above ground and fifteen stories of robotic parking are housed below ground. The overall tower is organized into four 100 story "neighborhoods” connected via a vertical bullet train that quickly distributes people between Sky Plazas that separate the different vertical neighborhoods. The Sky Plaza becomes a new town center at every 100 stories filled with the character of a city offoring a divorsity of oxporioncos from shopping to loisuro. Functionally, this zono acts to separato building and transportation systoms into smatlor more managoablo units moro typical to the dosign constraints of today. Hore tho vertical bullot train delivers passongors/tonants ovory 10 minutes. From this hub pooplo then switch to moro standard olovators to be distributed to thoir offices, hotels, or homos. VIP holicoptor pads aro also located at each of tho plaza levels allowing for quicker and moro discreet access. Tho lower levels of each sky plaza sorve to separate the tower’s building systoms between neighborhoods. Each 100 story block servos as an indopondont unit with separato plumbing, electric and waste systems all linked through tho central core. Hero chilled water created by thermal exchange and electricity created by strategically placed photovoltaic colls and turbinos locatod in tho spiro are capturod and dolivored to occupants of the building. In addition, water purification and trash composting take place within this zone in a biosphere like garden that becomes a vertical park for recreation, oxygen creation, and natural relief. Every effort has been made to make each neighborhood as self reliant as possible. Wind energy generated by turbines located in the spire combined with photovoltaic cells strategically laminated into the each building's skin offset the tower's draw from the local power grid. Recycling efforts at each 100 story Sky Plaza and integrated desalination plants reduce the tower's Impact on the surrounding Infrastructure ushering In a new era of smart building design sensitive to both tho building's occupants and the Tower's local environment. Tho Dubai City Tower pushes every edge of building design. For centuries man has pushed construction towards the heavens. The sheer scale and population of the structure forces the design to look at both the functional requirements of the interior as well as the tower's impact on both the immediate surrounding and ultimately the world. The Tower is divided into four 100 story sections or neighborhoods linked via circulation and services by a central vertical oore. Sky Plazas mark the ground floor of each neighborhood and act as green space and leisure areas for the 100 stories above. Shops and markets fill the ground floor of the six twisting buildings rising above. The experience Is like that of a town center bustling with activity and social interaction. The floor plates of the tower are filled with a mix of office space, hotel space, and residential units. 65% of the Tower's floor area is located within the first 100 floors of the tower. Pushing the majority of the tower's bulk to the lower portion of the tower eases some of the burden on the transportation and building systems while maximizing the amount of prime leasable oflice space. Vertically there is a mix of office, hotel and residential space within each neighborhood. The percentage of each program changes vertically with a larger percentage of office space located closer to the ground and a larger percentage of residential located higher in the sky. Vertical mixing is coordinated with the internal elevator layout splitting the working populations from the residents and providing high speed VIP express service to designated areas. ttr/iliwnat
The Sky Plaza is the town center within the vertical city. The tower is broken down into four 100 story neighborhoods that are linked through the central core and Bullet train. Suspended between the rotating outer buildings each sky plaza serves to tie the tower together structurally, functionally, and more importantly socially. The plaza is the main meeting space for businessmen or residents. Large tree lined green spaoea offer a park atmosphere in the sky while shops and entertainment complexes provide everything from leisure to necessary goods and services. The lower floors of the plaza act to service the above 100 stories. The vertical core feeds water and electricity upward while waste is transported downward. The experience of the Sky Plaza Is like that of a town square bustlinq with activity and social interaction. The project's siting links the tower with both Dubai and the world. The base of the tower rises six. stories above ground and descends fifteen stories below ground occupying a circular foot print of one million square feet. The tower's-l^ase'houses a convention center, retail, event spaces and VIP self parking. The fifteen storios below ground house self and robotic parking to handle the load of the 6 towers that rise 1.5 miles above. The size a nef proportion of the base fits within the legs of the tower relating more to the''ground revel., pedestrian. Rather than create a large street wall, the edges of. the base pull back at each level drawing the eye upward Into the void"^^, created by the rotating buildings of the tower. Where the rotating building strands relate to the image of the tower at a distance, the base and physical connection to the sea grounds the project in the city of Dubai.

Возникло несколько впечатляющих башен (в т.ч. Flame Towers и башня Socar), десятки 4 и 5-звездных отелей, жилых комплексов, магазинов люксовых брендов, великолепный бульвар, а на концерты в Crystal Hall приезжает Рианна (там же состоялся в 2012 году конкурс » Евровидение»). Хазар Острова должны привлечь инвесторов из России, Ближнего Востока и Китая. Завершение строительства комплекса планируется в 2025 году. До сих пор существует несколько островов и более 20 зданий.

Допустим, можно построить на 1км вверх (если на 500 метров строят), но через 10 .. 20 .. 30 лет затраты на поддержание инфраструктуры здания будут столь же высоки как и раньше, а уже появятся новые материалы и технологии строительства, позволяющие сделать тоже самое дешевле.
В-целом, ситуация с Sept 11 показала, чем именно становятся даже обычные небоскребы для их жителеей ... эвакуироваться всем невозможно, и чем выше здание, тем хуже с этим.
- это же самое можно сказать вообще про практически любые технологии, но это ведь не значит, что сейчас невыгодно вкладываться в них. К тому же например Эмпайр стейт билдинг уже почти 100 лет, и ничего.
